Privacy Policy

Who we are

DayRate is an app for rideshare and delivery drivers, operated by Gamoek, based in New York, United States ("we"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@dayratetracker.com.

What we collect

• Account: your name, email and password (stored only as a secure hash). Optional profile photo.
• Work records you enter: work blocks (date, start and end time, start and end odometer, platforms, trips, fares, tips and bonuses), fuel fill-ups, expenses and services, other income, notes.
• Vehicles you add: make, model, year, fuel type and, if you choose to enter them, VIN, plate, insurer, oil and tire details and a photo.
• Settings: the US state where you work, your active platforms, your daily goal, language and appearance, and tax payments you mark as paid.
• Technical data: our servers record basic request logs (IP address, time, the request made) to operate and protect the service.

What we do not collect

DayRate does not track your location. Miles come from the odometer readings you enter, never from GPS. We do not read data from Uber, Lyft, Amazon Flex or any other platform.

How we use it

• To provide the app: calculate your earnings, expenses, real profit, mileage and tax estimates, and show your history.
• To run your account: sign-in, password reset emails and service messages.
• To keep the service secure and working, and to fix problems.
• We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your records to profile you for advertising.

Advertising (Free plan)

The Free plan shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device information, an advertising identifier and approximate location derived from your IP address, under Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). On iOS, ads are personalized only if you allow tracking when the app asks; you can change this anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Your DayRate records are never shared with advertisers. DayRate Pro has no ads.

Payments

DayRate Pro is purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. They process the payment; we never see your card details. We only receive the status of your subscription.

Weather

The weather on the Today screen is requested directly by your device from public weather services (wttr.in and Open-Meteo), which see your IP address to estimate your city. We do not store it.

Service providers

We use providers that process data only to run DayRate: Fly.io (servers and database, United States), Amazon Web Services (transactional email), Apple and Google (app distribution and payments) and Google AdMob (ads in Free). They are bound to use the data only for these purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep your records while your account exists, because they are your financial and tax history. Request logs are kept for a limited time. Backups are rotated and expire within weeks. When you delete your account, your records are deleted from the service and disappear from backups as they expire.

Your choices and rights

• Access and portability: download all your records as CSV anytime in More › Export my data.
• Correction: edit or delete any record in the app.
• Deletion: delete your account and all its records in More › Delete account, or write to us.
• California residents (CCPA/CPRA) and residents of other states with privacy laws have the right to know, access, correct and delete their personal information and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the AdMob ads described above, which you can limit through your device settings.

Security

Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Each account's records are isolated in the database so no other account can read them. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you, we will tell you.

Children

DayRate is for adult drivers. It is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
